If you look at the physical body and the sum of the knowledge accumulated about how it works, we see that we are very complex organisms.  The spirit is no less complex. In fact its complexity is infinitely greater.  As I have explored the mission to heal that I believe I have been given, I have been flooded with knowledge through scriptures and prayer, through experience with clients, and through the voice of Heavenly Father who readily speaks to me.  God has taught me the science of the spirit and its connection to physical, mental, and emotional health. He has told me to call myself a Soul Scientist.  I have scholastic degrees in Botany, Genetic Engineering, and Naturopathy, but they are nothing compared to the education that I have received from my Father. It has not been an easy education to gain, and I will never graduate because the learning is endless, but I am in the humbling position to serve you and teach you what I have learned.

I am not a medium, fortuneteller, palm reader or astrologer.  I am a follower of Jesus Christ. and as such I am working toward the admonition that he gave in John 14:12, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do…

I hope to meet you soon.

technacolor roseWhen Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother organized our spirits as their children, they wrote something on each of our hearts.  The first thing that they wrote on each of their daughters’ hearts was “I am a Daughter of the Most High God.” On the heart of each son, they wrote, “I am a Son of the Most High God.” This message, if we read it and believe it, will empower us to do the works of God on this Earth.

Next, they wrote individualized messages, mission statements for each of us. These, if we read them and believe them, will guide us to paths of fulfillment as we traverse this mortal life. My husband, Arden, has a heart mission statement that includes being a Patriarch of the Elements. We have been exploring what this means, and I believe that each of us, to some extent, have command over the elements so this might pertain to you.

First of all, what does commanding the elements mean? Two definitions seem to fit best into our context: one has to do with atmospheric agencies or forces; in other words, weather Elements are also are the physical building blocks to this world. The Periodic Table of Elements contains all elements known to man.

When spirit and element are combined, there is life; there is joy. Just as physical matter is made of subunits, so is spiritual matter.  Research that I have done and inspiration I have received have led me to call these subunits, “intelligences.”  Light is also made of intelligences.  These intelligences are organized to create spirit. Just as our Heavenly Father and Mother are able to organize these intelligences to create, so we as their children are able to do this. In fact, we do this all the time. Unfortunately, a lot of the intelligences that we put together are not based on light and truth, but on fear. We create spiritual blocks in our energies by putting building blocks of fear or anger or hate together. All things physical are first created spiritually. The spiritual creations we create from fear result in disease and illness both physically and spiritually. As we clear out negative beliefs and emotions, giving them to our Savior, we begin to create positive spiritual matter. This results in health and joy.

Putting the pieces together, Arden’s mission to be a Patriarch of the Elements must include taking the spiritual matter that we create as a couple through our own positive feelings and emotions and combining it with gratitude and awe of physical elements. The trees, the mountains, or the waves of the sea will obey Christ because of the love that he has for them. The miracle of the loaves and the fishes, the ability to walk on water and turn water into wine are all manifestations of this ability. Hmmm. Interesting thoughts.

When we were born, we did not come into this world with a clean slate, as some would believe. Our physical bodies were very new to us, but our spirits, that which enlivens our bodies, were already full of experience and emotion from times since our Father organized our spirits, and even before then, for we are eternal beings. Your life on this earth is but a

small fraction of your life en total. Your spirit is the offspring of a kind and loving Heavenly Father, who has given you this earthly experience so that you can learn the difference between good and evil and gain the knowledge and character that is necessary to become like our Father. We truly are gods in embryo.

There is a balance to all things.  Our Father knew that without opposition, without hardships and adversity, we could not grow.  This is why he sent Satan and those that follow him to this earth and then sent his children to the same place.  This is much like a father putting a bunch of lions in a pit and then gently sending his children down to be

eaten! When we look at opposition, we usually cringe back from it, but it is there for our learning. The trick is to know who you are and stand by that truth, through whatever life brings.  God, our Father is a God of love, not fear.  When we fear we, in effect, connect to the father of fear.  Satan is real. His power is real. He has power to fill us with emotions

and feelings of fear, anger, despair, and distrust.

How does he have such power? Did God give it to him? No. We do.  Satan has no power over us unless we, or one of our ancestors, give it to him through fear.  When we open up

to him, he uses the spirits that follow him, to become one with us.  The more fear we have, the more

control he has over our physical bodies.  Sickness, disease, mental disorder, etc. are manifestations of this.  It is no wonder that throughout the scriptures, we are told to “Fear not!” Jesus Christ is the way to remove not only this fear, but all of the physical, emotional, financial, and mental problems resulting from it. Let me know if you need some help with this.

February 2, 2013 Dr. Arden Compton will be sharing the amazing Emotional Freedom Techniques. This will be an irreplaceable self-help tool that you will use throughout your life!

Mistakes – the great teachers of life.  We make them in our thoughts.  We follow those thoughts and show the mistake to the world. Sometimes our mistakes come from trying too hard to do the right thing.  Long ago, when we lived in Missouri, we owned a you-pick organic berry farm.  We sold garden produce and sometimes free-range chicken and pork.  We were learning a lot – mostly through a long line of mistakes, and life was quite stressful for me.  Arden woke up with the sun to work the farm before heading to his dirty, pay-the-bills job until 5:00, when he would come home and work in the fields until sunset, and sometimes into the night.  I was doing my best to take care of customers, finish what Arden couldn’t, take care of two babies and home-school the older two.

I was a complete stress case.  I was allergic to just about everything, including the farm, the messy house and homeschool.  We had no insurance, so Arden and I determined that we would do our best to be as healthy as we could by eating right.  We cut out white flour, white sugar, and white rice.  I made the meals from scratch.  We did what we knew to do to be healthy and still the allergies persisted. I had to cut out the wheat flour because I was allergic to it and resorted to using barley and rye – not great for bread, let me tell you! Ardie suggested that I cut out dairy to get rid of the allergies.  So then I had to figure out how to make a meal without cheese, milk, sour cream, etc.

I did not realize, as I do now, that allergies are almost totally the manifestation of subconscious beliefs and fears – Because I was becoming more stressed about eliminating the foods that were contributing to allergies, the allergies became even worse.  A customer who was a doctor gave me a slew of samples of allergy meds for me to try.  These produced such side-effects and so little result, that I dropped them and cut out peanut butter, vegetable oils, and meat.  I was so paranoid of food by that time that my nutrition was suffering.  I fed my family better than I fed myself, thank goodness.  Ardie had many nutrition books that said different things and I tried to follow all of them. Any time I learned something negative about a food I would drop it from my diet.  Fresh fruit and vegetables gave me stomachaches – unless it was something that I couldn’t sell on the farm.  I could eat the rotten strawberries pretty well.

It was about this time that Arden decided that he needed to change career plans drastically. He took a course on Neural Organization Technique, quit his job, dropped all enterprises on the farm, and started his practice – all within a few weeks!  That saved me.  My health started to improve.  He was able to treat the allergies and they lessened.

As I look back on that time, I realize the havoc I made of my body from the fear of not eating right!  Crazy!  The technical term for this is orthorexia and it is related to anorexia.  People do die from it!  I am still clearing traces of those food fears in my digestive system.  Since that time, I have found a new list of healthy foods – one that includes peanut butter, quality cheeses, cookie dough, and of course, the occasional ice cream cone.

Our bodies are amazing creations.  They can adapt to just about any condition, heal from almost anything, as long as a person is full of Joy! There are definitely better foods than others, and it is wise to use these more than the foods that physically stress the body, But stress, fear, worry, and caution about one’s diet is far more detrimental than the diet itself.

So go and have a joyful bowl of ice cream with a friend.  I think Heavenly Father loves ice cream!

Lately my husband and I have been astounded by the progress made in one of my clients, a 46 year old who, about 15 years ago, was diagnosed with spinocerebellar ataxia, a degenerative disease of the cerebellum.  After working with him for only a week using EFT to clear emotional blocks to healing, employing a variation of Dr. Fish‘s Techniques to raise his energy, and increasing the number of his own stem cells circulating in his system with StemEnhance, he was able to walk down the hall without using his canes – something he says he hasn’t done for years!  Mark (the name has NOT been changed) is also an optimistic fellow who has never accepted the belief that there was no cure for the disease that has affected him.  Miracles happen.  I want you all to know that!  More later…

Let your heart be full of Joy!

If you do not see with your heart, you cannot see. If you do not hear with your heart, you cannot hear. If you do not feel with your heart, you cannot feel. If you do not live with your heart, you cannot live.

Chinese Proverb

When we have a negative belief in our heart, we do not have to follow it. There are other beliefs that are opposite to the negative one. We bounce back and forth between beliefs, some actions coming from one belief in our hearts and some from an opposing belief. In order to remain consistent in our positive actions and intent , we must align all of our heart with the beliefs that have the highest energy. This is done by aligning ourselves with Jesus Christ. The more we are in turn or in resonance with him, the more success we will have. We need to remember, however, that this is a life-long process and be patient with ourselves. Impatience will bring in a negative energy that will oppose that which we are striving for. The perfect heart of success is owned by God. He is perfectly successful in anything he does. He is the perfect healer, the perfect parent, the perfect thinker the perfect creator. As for wealth, he owns all of the riches in the universe, yet he is perfectly generous. This is what we are striving for. This is what our natures crave. This is why we desire success.

Sometimes we need a little hip to dig out the inner beliefs that cause us to have ill health, poor marital relationships, inner conflict, etc. I have been given a gift to be able to help people do this. I am excited and fulfilled when I see lives changing for the better. This life is to have joy. If you do not feel joy, you need to release the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual baggage so that you can fly. Let me know if you want my help.

What are you giving to your heart? You are creating what will soon be reality. Every day we add to the picture that we give to our creative center. Every day we either improve the reality that is being created, or we degrade it.

In this world of ours we have been given the power to create.  We have inherited this power from our Father in Heaven, and he knows we will use it.  Actually, we are unable to keep from using this God-given gift. It is part of our natures.  In fact, there is no way for us to stop creating.  As children of God, we exhibit this divine trait in everything we do, in everything we are, and in everything that happens around us.  What are you creating?

The answer is simple: You are creating your state of health and your state of mind. You are creating the way in which your spouse reacts when you are concerned.  You are creating your financial situation. You are the creator of the way that your children respond to you and in great part to the world around them.

But, you say, I want things to be different! I want my husband to love me.  I want to be out of debt.  I want to be in good physical shape. My experience as a naturopath and Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner has shown me time and time again that we create discomfort and pain in our lives not because of the thoughts we come to our minds consciously, but because of the underlying thoughts, feelings, and barriers that we have in our sub-conscious mind.  This is where the creative power is the most potent.

I have a client who we will call Beth.  She weighed about 350 pounds when she started coming to me and has slowly dropped weight over the span of our sessions together. On our third visit, I conducted a nutritional analysis.  She was in a good range in all of her amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.  I asked her about her diet.  She ate like a rabbit – salad and cottage cheese for lunch, few processed foods, small portions at dinner.  The obesity was not caused by diet or nutritional causes.

Her most recent increase in weight happened about thirteen years before, just after her divorce from Todd. (His name isn’t really Todd, but it is a nice name, don’t you think?)  This was a big clue.  Using techniques that I have to delve into the spiritual and emotional roots of physical problems, I helped her clear beliefs that she had about herself because of the divorce. Among other things, her subconscious mind had been given creation instructions like: “You are ugly,” “You are too fat to have children,” and other lies that her husband had told her.  These she took as truth and set to work changing her hypothalamic set points – the thermostat for the body’s condition.  Her perfect system followed orders perfectly and her weight shot up to 350 or so where it clung tenaciously for thirteen years.

Last night’s treatment was fascinating.  Using neural kinesiology, intuition, and a bit of detective work we discovered what I believe to be the core of the obesity problem.  When Beth was five years old, she was told by her father, with whom she had a wonderful relationship, that if she was not nice to her little sister, she would be unhappy the rest of her life.  For some reason, Beth’s subconscious took this simple fatherly push as instructions for life.  She knew that she was not always nice to her sister and so her subconscious mind set about doing its best to be obedient to her father’s words.  After we figured this our she said that it made sense, because that was when the weight problem began; before that she was “as skinny as a stick.” Not only had her mind implanted these words as instructions, but her whole autonomic nervous system (the part of the nervous system that is not consciously controlled) was affected.  Her body was creating what she was telling it to create. I am very interested to see how fast she drops the weight now.  She told me last night that she has been hovering around the 325 lb. mark.  I’ll try to keep you posted.

We truly are the product of our thoughts, feelings and actions, but not necessarily those that are evident consciously.  If you are really in tune with your feelings, you will see clues of the hidden subconscious thoughts that are self-sabotaging your joy and progression.  When you detect one, it is important that you get rid of it.  The only way to truly rid oneself of these is to give them to Christ.  This can often be done through prayer, but I have found that sometimes we need to utilize the tools that God has revealed to his children in order to reach into the depths of the subconscious brain in order to yank them out and give them up.

One such tool is a visualization that was taught to me by my husband, Arden, who is a naturopathic doctor, my partner in helping people, and my best friend. I have actually taken his words from the book that we wrote together entitled, Freedom from the Plague: Overcoming Pornography Addiction Using Emotional Freedom Technique, but I have modified it to be for more general problems.  It is written for a facilitator-client situation, but you can modify it and do it without help if needed:

Have the individual close his eyes and visualize a peaceful place, such as a mountain meadow, or a beach, or someplace that works for the individual as a peaceful place.  The person should keep his eyes closed until the end of the exercise. Ask the person to put a shape to the problem or emotion.  What would it look like in this scene?  Some image may come to his mind.  If not, tell him it could be anything – a black blob, a hug rock, a thundercloud, a cactus, a circle or anything.  If he still can’t put a shape to it, suggest a rock, and then ask him how big the rock is.  To make sure he is seeing it as vividly as possible, ask him what color the rock is, whether it is smooth or rough, and other similar questions.  Then have him repeat the following out loud:

Every time I have ever had this problem is in the past, and there is nothing I can do about past mistakes except learn from them.  So, without excusing myself, I forgive myself for the things I have said and done and not said and done that have contributed to this problem.  I forgive all others that have contributed to this problem – for the things they have said and done and not said and done that have added to this problem.  I hope for each of them all the healing available through Christ.  I completely forgive myself for every past mistake with regard to this and I choose to learn from those mistakes.  If I don’t learn from those mistakes, I will repeat them.  Now I choose to learn from them and be better than I was.

Now have the person imagine that the Savior Jesus Christ appears in this scene, full of light, glory, compassion, and perfect love.  Have him imagine that the Savior says something like this:

Bob, I have already suffered for this rock you are carrying, you don’t need to carry it any longer.  Give it to me, and you can be free.

Ask the individual if he can see himself giving the rock to the Savior in the scene.  Even if it is very large, he may be able to visualize this.  If he says he cannot move it, have him repeat,

I completely forgive myself and turn this over to the Savior.  The Atonement is enough for my problem.

Once again ask him if he can see himself giving this rock to the Savior.  If he still cannot, ask him to say,

Jesus, I need some help with this.  I want to give you this problem, but I am not strong enough.  Will you please come take this rock away?

Then ask him to tell you what happens.  Typically the person will report that the Savior takes the rock away.  I always follow up with the question,

What happened to the rock when the Savior took it?

Many times, the person reports that the rock just disappeared, or the Savior threw it away.  If they report that the Savior is just holding it, it is an indication that they have not completely let go of it. If that is the case, I say something like,

Now imagine the Savior says to you, “You are still holding on to this a little bit.  Trust in me, and turn it completely over to me.  You don’t need to keep this problem in your view; I can take it completely out of your life.  Trust in me and let it go.”

I then again ask the person to tell me what they see.  Most times they indicate the rock is now gone – perhaps it was absorbed in the Savior’s light, or he threw it far away, or something like that.  If the person still can see any portion of the rock, or even a shadow or outline of the rock, he may need to keep repeating forgiveness statements.

It is a powerful visualization and can be applied to any negative emotion, event, addiction, or feeling.  There are many other ways to root the negatives out of our minds.  I will enjoy sharing more of them with you in the future.

Remember, God wants us to be full of joy!  That is what this life is about – finding joy in the midst of pain, feeling love while surrounded by hate.  After all, we are trying to follow the example set by Jesus Christ.  No one has felt more anguish, more sorrow, more pain than he, yet no one has even come close to the level of joy and love that enabled him to endure those trials.

You are a product of perfection. At least, that is what you know and believe. This often causes an inner conflict: you understand that you will one day be perfect and that is where you want to be; however, you are not perfect now. You are living in an imperfect world with an imperfect body, and imperfect thoughts. Both parts of this conflict are very true and good, yet we internalize the belief that we need to be perfect now. This results in stress, both spiritual and physical, which eventually manifests as disease, pain, and emotional unrest. What you don’t realize is that you are perfect!

You are learning perfectly because of your mistakes. You are perfect in the sphere in which you live. You are teaching your children how to live a good life in an imperfect world. How could you teach imperfect children to grow and learn from mistakes unless you know first hand how to handle them-unless you make mistakes yourself?

The key is to give your mistakes to Jesus Christ and have joy. So many of us hang on to our mistakes and believe that they define who we are. When we truly surrender them to Jesus, we become free, and as a result we heal, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. He is teh key to all healing.

Blessings,
